Kids and hay bales

Where there are hay bales, you will find kids.

Minty is a little shorter and younger and has more of a challenge climbing up.

Now if only we could get a dry spell I could cut some more.

  1. I love the effortful concentration on Minty’s face! Hay bales are so much fun to play on, and yours are so solid they won’t fall apart.

  2. Hey, Brent, I have a question about your comment on Siobhan’s calf watch photo. I took the bulge to be calf, is that what you think?

  3. From your one photo it looks like a calf. The mother cow usually bulges out big time on the right hand side when there’s a calf in there getting closer to term. I’ve got one (cow 52) who isn’t bulging out much and might not be pregnant. The others that are still to calf all have nice bulging right hand sides where there’s an obvious calf. Sometimes you can see the little thing wiggling in there.
