It is always amazing how fast calves grow. Here there are three yearlings on the left and two calves on the right.
The brown guy in the middle is a steer and doing very well on our farm. He’s not bad for sixteen months.
They are eating some grass pasture stockpiled from spring.
I’d love to see a post on any of the yearling heifers or calves that you have selected to keep as breeding stock and how you make that selection. (I don’t ask for much, do I?!) They look really good. It just dawned on me that they are much hairier than our Dexters at this time of year. That must be a characteristic of Salers?
