One way to get rid of brambles

I was visiting another Salers farm looking for bull calves when one of the bulls got itchy.

The brambles didn’t stand a chance.

He looks regal.

We pulled them off after the photo.

Hysterical! He looks like he’s been debauching with a bunch of fauns and satyrs, and his wreath is a bit the worse for the wear! It’s a good thing he’s gentle enough to let you remove the brambles or he might have been wearing them for a long time! Did you find any bull calves?

That one definitely made me do a double take – I’ve got lots wearing burr crowns at the moment. My one-woman war on burrs is getting kind of ridiculous. Some days I think I might just be winning, then others, like today, I know I’ve got a long way to go. Handsome bull.

How old? Remember to check and see if he can be trusted with water troughs, hay rings and barns, lol.

It looks like two bulls as the horns look so different, it must be the angle the pics were taken. He is a beautiful creature. Do they have to adjust the chains on the bull ring as he grows?
