I broke my marteau-broyeur. This is the macho flail chopper that cuts down everything up to small trees. Well, everything except patches of morning glory and blackberries when you don’t pay attention, drive too fast and don’t realize the rotor has stopped. The belts are cooked.
It used to have five drive belts. Only one survived, and that one is too cooked to keep using. One of my upcoming tasks is to get that arm off so I can mount the new belts. I called up Van Wamel, the manufacturers of Perfect brand stuff, and they were immensely helpful with directions.
A broyeur like this would be awesome in a zombie attack, but for an alien attack you just can’t beat a combine harvester.

In other words, bush-hog, right? That’s such a bummer! But it sounds like you know what to do. Good luck getting it back to work.
