The herd is up the top of Sleepy Hollow at the moment, where they have a nice view of the house.
And a nearby hilltop village.
The worms are back after their summer vacation. Go worms!
The new growth here is slowly overcoming the older material. I could have let it grow another couple of weeks but I figured it was better to let the cows have at it and stomp some of the old stuff down. Besides, the cows get value out of mixing some old dry grass with the new rich growth.
Sleepy Hollow is the most fertile of the permanent pastures. It makes good beef.
A beautiful view and a beautiful pasture!
I might have to quit following your blog Brent, everytime I see your farm it makes me want to sell mine:) Great looking pasture.
